All barangays are 100% lighted (220V). Otherwise, there are also small internet cafés within the town proper and the neighboring town of Balingasag.

Salay is approximately 62 kilometers, approximately 1.5 hours from the city by car or bus.
Local Transport
Salay is accessible by either bus or jeepney from Cagayan De Oro City. We recommend that you take an air-conditioned bus from the Agora Bus Terminal in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City. Bachelor Express provides 24-hour transportation service, and fare to Salay is only about $2.00.
Visitors should take the bus that goes to Butuan city, and ask the driver or bus conductor to drop you off at Salay Central School. Salayhandmade is a 10-minute walk away. Better yet, experience local transport and take a 3-minute trisikad (motorized cabs) ride for $0.10!
Accommodations
Villa Conrado at Bruno Salvaña Street, Bonifacio corner Zone 2, Poblacion has 4 rooms available, one of which is air-conditioned. It also has a 250-person function room where special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, reunions, anniversaries, and the like are held. Room rates are $15 for non-air-conditioned, and $17 for air-conditioned.

Small eateries or “turoturo” – which literally means you point at your preferred food and you will be served according to the desired portion – are available in Salay. They serve meat, fish, vegetables, and roasted chicken as specialty. Mineral water and sodas are available everywhere.
